Welcome to the St. Cuthbert's Catholic Primary website. My name is Angela Garrity and I have the honour of being the Head Teacher of this wonderful school.
Our school is a happy, safe place where children are encouraged to be the best they can be. Our community of children, parents, staff and governors work together brilliantly to ensure the best outcomes for our children.
We serve the Parish of St. Cuthbert's Chester-le-Street and our children come from in and around the Chester-le-Street area. We live out the Gospel Values such as faith, service and trust at St. Cuthbert's in our daily lives, this really does make our school a safe and happy place to be.

Our Mission
At St. Cuthbert’s, all that we do is to help children
- to flourish – giving the children a wide variety of opportunities academically, spiritually, socially and pastorally to grow to their full potential and become beacons of light in the world.
- to love – helping children live out the Gospel Values and experience love and care is very important to us at St. Cuthbert’s. We know that a child who is valued is a child who will grow spiritually.
- to serve others – at St. Cuthbert’s we are acutely aware of those in need. Those in need in our own community, in our locality and globally. This means we strive to help others in all that we do whether it be through charity work, or simply helping a friend who is hurt.
Letters
We send out letters and newsletters on a regular basis to keep parents up to date with school decisions and progress.
At St Cuthbert's, we keep our parents, carers and families informed about upcoming events and celebrations of our children's successes. We regularly publish a newsletter, which is sent out electronically to all of our parents and is made available on this page. We also use Social media to share the very latest events, learning and religious celebrations that take place within our school.
